Education, Curriculum & Lesson Plans:
I have a passion for students and student life, as well as my own life-long learning. My graduate work is in curriculum and instruction. As a graduate assistant, I designed and facilitated reflection activities for university students, in addition to advising the Volunteer Services Board and recruiting faculty and community partners for our service-learning program. As a secondary teacher, I collaborated with other educators to create the end of course tests for high school English classes. I also developed and implemented the curriculum for the digital photography and journalism programs for a new high school and advised student clubs. And, as a manager for a character education media program, I created movie-guide teacher kits to be used in the secondary classroom.

Writing, Public Relations & Marketing:
Observing the details and telling unique stories is my art. My undergraduate major is journalism with an emphasis in public relations. I have worked as a newspaper reporter, high school journalism adviser/editor and also as a technical writer. II have a natural affinity for promotions and marketing and have used my abilities and training to raise money for nonprofits, promote and coordinate events, create marketing campaigns, tell people's unique stories and much more. Now, I'm digging into blogging and podcasting, as well as social networking and online community building.

HTML Emails, Graphic Design & OnlineAdvertising:
Technology is my friend. As a secondary teacher, I fell in love with integrating technology into the classroom. I used classroom websites for my students, but I wouldn't have been able to create my own website from scrach (like I did this one). Thanks to my previous job, I almost consider myself a techie over the last year. I have developed expertise in email marketing, email deliverability and HTML email design and function. As an eMarketing coordinator, I was responsible for creating and promoting an online bookstore's web presence, creating email marketing campains, designing web banners, working with affiliates and using Google Adwords. I also put together a few basic websites.
